Microsoft has changed policy on Excel macros and now macros will not run even if you enable the macro. You need one more extra step to go and this is how.

1. Enable macros in your Excel file.

Go to File –> Options –> Trust Center. Click Trust Center Settings –> Macro Settings. Check Enable VBA macros.

2. Add trusted location

At the Trust Center, click Trusted Locations. Add a trusted folder by cliking Add new location buttion. Macro enabled Excel files will only run in those locations (folders). For example, you can add C:\temp as a trusted location and then copy your Excel file to that folder to run the Macro enabled Excel file.

That’s it.
